I never thought I’d be writing a blog post about a foundation called “Vampire Goddess.” As a Christian entrepreneur and someone deeply committed to meaning and integrity in everything I sell, the name gave me pause. But what came next completely caught me off guard — in the best way. A few months ago, my husband attended a Korean business conference and came home with a massive gift box filled with cosmetics — over 100 cushion foundations and several boxes of false eyelashes. Most of the foundations were labeled #23 Deep Beige and #21 Light Beige, from a Korean beauty brand called 2LA (you can check out their company here: 2la.co.kr). Out of curiosity, I tried it. And... wow.
First Impressions
The outer packaging is simple enough, but once you open the actual compacts — stunning. The #23 compact has a rich, ruby-red jewel finish that looks like a gemstone in your hand. The #21 compact is a silver, diamond-like shimmer — ethereal and elegant. They’re truly beautiful enough to display. I first tried the 2LA #21 Light Beige, and let’s just say… I looked like a ghost in fluorescent light. 😅 In the sunlight, though, it was more flattering — and I realized it’s a brightening/whitening foundation, which is very popular in Korean beauty. But when I tried #23 Deep Beige — it was perfect. Though it’s labeled “deep,” don’t be fooled — this shade is still quite light by Western standards, with a warm yellow undertone that suited my fair-to-light skin much better. The finish? Dewy. Full coverage. Radiant. The kind of healthy glow I didn’t think was possible without layering several expensive products.
✨ Coverage & Wear Test
What shocked me most was the coverage. I have red, rosacea-prone, sensitive skin that often reacts to makeup — but this cushion compact made my skin look smooth, glowy, and clear, even with blemishes and redness underneath.
- Without primer: It clung to dry spots and didn’t hold up to sweat.
- With primer: It wore beautifully throughout the day, only needing occasional touch-ups.
It gave me a Korean “glass skin” effect — that plump, hydrated look — without caking or pore-clogging.
Skin Type Suitability
I have:
- Sensitive skin
- Rosacea (especially in summer or when sweating)
- Occasional breakouts
Most products flare me up immediately. This one? Didn’t clog my pores. Didn’t break me out. Actually seemed to calm my redness. Even after wearing it for hours, my skin looked better once I washed it off. It caused mild itchiness once — but only when I didn’t cleanse properly beforehand. That’s honestly incredible, considering how reactive my skin normally is.
🧡 Final Thoughts
I’ve tried nearly every major Western brand. I’ve spent so much money at Sephora trying to find that perfect foundation in the past. And this? This is hands-down the best foundation I’ve ever used. While I don’t align with the branding, I couldn’t keep this to myself. I’m offering these cushion compacts temporarily in my shop for a limited time so others can experience the awesomeness of korean cushion foundations for themselves — flawless, glowing skin
🛍 Who Should Try This?
- Fair to medium-light skin tones (due to the shade range)
- Sensitive skin folks who struggle with foundation flare-ups
- Anyone who loves a dewy, radiant finish without needing 3+ products
- Fans of Korean beauty or those curious about K-beauty tech
- Glowy glam lovers who want full coverage that still feels light
⚠️ Not ideal for deeper skin tones — the shades will appear too bright or ashy. (I genuinely hope the brand expands their range.)
I’m currently offering:
- 2LA Vampire Goddess Cushion #23 Deep Beige (best for light to medium-light skin)
- 2LA #21 Light Beige (best for very fair skin or brightening effect)
I’m not affiliated with the 2LA company — I just loved the product and wanted to share it with the world.
